A very literal interpretation! A direct flash with reflective surfaces like metal will almost always give you reflections and harsh shadows.

good idea, next time my recomendation is use splenda when that stuff hits anything liquid it foams...would make for an intresting shot...

I love the vibrant colours. Already seen a shot based on the same idea, but your one was composed much better. Softer lighting, off camera would have prevented the harsh shadows and flash reflection in the spoon.
