This a Picture of Kelly who is a Beautiful Young Lady who has agreed to assist me with this Challenge.
It would be too easy for me to enter this Challenge with simply a Pretty Face.
This is the First time I have made a serious effort to improve my portraiture, by introducing something more than a pretty face.
I hope the inclusion of the Violin adds a new dimention to the photograph.

Congratulations Joe on your PB and on a fantastic finish in a really tough challenge. The violin helped, but don't sell yourself short, you did a wonderful job technially, and more importantly bringing out the real qualities of your model. Great job!
You probably have no idea about how thrilled I am to get so high up in this Challenge.
It means a lot to me personally, as I relly tried to step outside of my box, and I think the inclusion of the Violin really helped to provoke peoples thoughts.

For what it's worth, I'd prefer to see (at this website) a pretty face with 'accessories' like you have chosen to photograph for this challenge. I wondered why the photograph that won the blue ribbon did so well. I gave it a 9 because it was, after all, a good photo but then I looked again and said 'Ohh..those are why' I gave your photo a 10 and hope you keep trying new dimentions like this...thanks.
Love the idea of the portrait of the girl with her instrument. Great tones in this image, I just wish you had gotten the end of the violin in the shot.
