I just can't believe the combination of these 2 things: The beauty of my little daughter and the way the light shines into this part of our house. This was in July. For me this image is very personal which means I have no idea how it will go over. i did quite a bit to the background and I also neatened up the shadows and stuff as to be less distracting - no real major elements changed though. The 50mm is such a brilliant lens in this situation and it completely redefined how I enjoy my photography.

I think this finished very well and was well received by commenters, as I would have predicted. I think it is fantastic. A great one to make into a family heirloom. Well done.
Very cute and nicely captured. I am not a big fan of your processing around the outside, I think the image would have sold itself without it. Good Luck.
Ohhhhhhhhhhwuh!!!! How incredibly awesome!!! It's a beautiful photo under any circumstances, but the way you have processed it in soft sepia tones enhances it even more! This is a photo that will never grow old! Never look outdated, and I can't help but believe it will always be cherished above most all others! Fantastic job!
This is one of my favorites in this challenge so far. Excellent use of B&W and I love the lighting behind her. A little blown out in a couple of areas, but nothing that hurts the image.9
Second time around, bumped this up to a 10. Beautiful picture, hope this one ribbons because I think it deserves it. As a parent, I know it is certainly not an easy task 'posing' little ones like this!
Great lighting and great B&W toning. I think the edges are too sharp for this resolution though. The child seems to pop unnatural off the background. Still above average rating.
