This is my interpretation of what European cafe life is all about. Taken at Brussels Midi station in the Häagen-Dazs cafe en route to the second Amsterdam GTG.
PP:
* crop
* curves and levels
* light dodge & burn around edges
* spot healing to remove crumbs on table
* sepia tint
* noise ninja
* size for web with 2 pixel border
* usm
This is a different take to one posted on DPC last year.

It's funny how I really can't put my finger on just exactly what it is about this shot I like so much. I was right about my hunch that the voters wouldn't find enough wow in this to get it up the scale where I thought it should be, but top 1/3 in such a challenge wasn't too bad of a finish, and you just about nailed a perfect bell curve in the vote spread.
Well done and congrats!
Sounds like the title of a Nouvelle Vague film .
I like the sepia tones , the "apparent" simplicity of the composition but I think that nothing is casual here.
Very interesting photo !
