This is a lovely portrait, with a nice focus on her eyes. (Here comes my 2 cents) I would adjust your lighting or the position of your model in such a way as to have the brightness of her face at least 1 to 2 stops higher than your background. I think this would give this shot more depth, and it would help to make it a stronger image than it already is. Good luck in the challenge

overall a tad too dark and lacking of contrast. her pose and expression seem not to be relaxed, too

The lighting of this is very flat. It seems that this was a direct conversion to black and white instead of desaturation using the color channels.
