This was taken during a fantastic sunset on the observation deck at Top of the Rock in NYC. The same day I took my "Wind" shot. I thought this had a real science fiction look to it. My boyfriend gave me the great title (from 'Dune' for those who don't know).

not quite sure what to make of this. i love the colors, but there are places where the textures seem strange, as if overly-processed for noise reduction. i may be wrong, but that's how it looks to me. an interesting collection of shapes, to say the least.
Seems almost to be trying to be simple and complex at the same time: and I'm not sure that's a successful dichotomy. The simplicity of the tonality of it, against the complex shapes and shadows - the tension between what are broadly plain and geometric shapes, and the details of the aerial, the steels and their rivets, the wiring ...
