Hmm. This decision was so hard. But I wanted to share this one with the masses. A truly unique angle of this place I feel.

How could I complain with a top 10 in the Best of 2006? I think 2nd place and 5th place are purely sublime, if I can throw some love their way....

As soon as I reviewed this image I knew it was unique. Of course the yellow tones were enriched, but the thing that blew me away was as people have noted...the 3-D effect. I didn't do that. It just was. To me, to allow the image to take shape and form before our eyes, to make it real, is arguably the whole damn point to this nonsense. I adore this photograph because it is mine and it inspires me. Usually others inspire me, but I especially like it when my own initiative reminds me that volition is the motor of achievement. Thanks again for taking the time to view and read about this photograph.

WOW.... tht's all i can say. you get a 10. If you ever have time i would love to know how you took this shot, and any details about Post Processing. I love landsape photography, and want to improve to your level. Swwet job!
8 - Very nice. Not sure if that sky is natural or not, or if pp, either way, coloring is very nice overall. Perhaps the green in the mountains 'tweaked' a little more to balance out the foreground green, but fairly minor.
So many different levels of detail to create a 3D object out of a 2D image. I love the many converging and complimentary lines moving across the frame. While at first it appears a little monochromatic there is a beautiful range across what is there.
I pick few favorites and give few 10's. This one is both to me. Congrats, I expect this to win.
gorgeous. i can't begin to imagine how much effort went into the processing on this, but i truly appreciate it, because the end result is so believable.
Amazing bands of colour running through this photo. The patterns on that sand are surreal. It almost looks like a digitally created image, rather than a real one. Very well processed.
Wow. The color here is amazing. My only problem is the sky. It doesn't look real, especially as it borders the misty hills. Was it really like this? I really like this even with the banana sky.
