Contrary to most butterfly/moth/winged animal macros in this challenge, this has actually achieved a sense of fragility rather than the abstraction of shape and colour. The background will of course cause many voters problems, but I think it parallels the lines and shapes of the insect's wings quite well.
An outstanding shot. This is the world as it is. Asymetric, frail, damaged yet ongoing. Congratulations on taking and submitting a shot where everything about this butterfly is less than perfect. High mark from me.
