NI. Photoshop. Sorry if you've seen this already. But I really like it and wanted to have it in my Challenge Portfolio. This sheriff did NOT want me taking pictures of his inmates. He came over told me not to, then asked me if I was with the Press. He didn't tell me to delete my shots, so I didn't. But I sure didn't take any more!

Good idea for a series. I was concerned that if I had gone any closer, his stare would've broken my lens, pierced my brain, and lobotomized me for sure! At least with a lobotomy I wouldn't care about spending the rest of my life in his prison. :-D

you should have gotten a lot closer and tested his stare down..just think of the series of shots you could have had...being chased and beaten, seeing the inmates flee, the cops rushing in...a few bloody self-portraits...
and ribbons, lots of ribbons!

I like the processing. HDR with some smoothing of some sort? His stare is classic. It looks like a young Willie Nelson on the Right. And now that I look at it... the boss man looks like Tiger Woods on 'roids. :)

the excitement of a shot like this comes from its realism. your processing subtracts the realism, and therefore subtracts the excitement.
