Perfect accomplishment is, indeed, the right words - and a very pleasing photo to remember this lovely period in life. Personally, I like the lighting and composition. Very nice. Congratulations.
Gorgeous! Especially the way the baby is looking up at Mum! It would have been nice if Mum's hand was a little lower to show more of the baby and to make it less prominent in the picture.
I like the madonna and child, both are beautiful, but the light is too harsh for my preference. I'd like to see a little reflected light soften/fill in the shadows in the faces of both mother and baby. Just my opinion.
I think the tones work really well here, although theres just something that doesn't quite work, i think it's the mothers pose and the darkness of both of their faces.
Still good shot though.
