This is our son Chris at church, he's a great drummer! But then again, I am biased. Behind the drum screen is a mess...broken bits of stick everywhere, our drummers hit pretty hard. I wanted to capture that. I put our lighting on and just shot a few images. This was one of the better ones and my son's choice.

Basically dodged, burned, USM, Noise Ninja (not in that order) etc...nothing major.

Hope for a 6ish.

POST: well, it was well below expectations. I thought it would do OK, but there are an overwhelming nimber of 5's there, so...better luck next year

My lowest result for a long time

The unusual POV, color, and composition make this photo stand out. I'm sad that the score did not reflect your goal here.

Great perspective. I love it. Of course, I'm a drummer, so maybe I'm biased a bit! Great job. Back to bump to a 9.

The composition was too busy for me, no clear point of focus in the image. Some light on the cymbals or the drummer may have helped.

Nice try but I want to see all twelve. If it was as simple as making your own rules, everybody would have entered.
