Nice looking dog. I think a tighter crop to eliminate the washed out sky and the grass sticking up on the righthand side would greatly improve this photo. Also, the head is partly infront of a similarly colored object causing it to lose separation from the background.

the image is a little dark and doesn't shot of the cute face of the dog well enough
