The larva of the moth Ogmograptis Scribula burrow between the old and the new season's bark of the gum-barked eucalypt trees. The tunnel is revealed when the old bark falls away. You can't not stop and be amazed by these patterns. Don't expect to get anywhere but I thought I would submit to educate.

Neat patterns, nicely photographed, but I think I would have preferred a closer shot, without the greens in the background (to focus more on the pattern, which is pretty neat).
