Great idea. It cryes for full symmetry, however probably than it would've been too artificial. Maybe you should resign from the first raw of the barrels and focus on the second one. I like it a lot. 9.
Nice image - would be stronger if you cropped out the out of focus parts near the bottom edge - or redid the shot focusing closer, and with maximum DOF. The light brings out the wood's texture - that's nice. A little bit of sharpening would help too. This is a great choice of subject for Patterns.
I LOVE this idea....this is warm, and very much a pattern. It also has the interest factor which a lot of the Pattern entries don't (very abstract and clinical). BUT I am struggling to find the focal point in this. Did you struggle with low light and DOF?
I wish there was more light on the numbers (154) so I could see that better then my eye wouldn't be as drawn to the brighter spot above it to the left. Awesome pattern!
