Challenge: Your Occupation II (Advanced Editing V)
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Lens: Sigma 50-500mm f/4.0-6.3 EX APO RF HSM for Canon
Location: Palo Alto Baylands Preserve
Date: Dec 20, 2006
Aperture: f 6.3
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/320
Galleries: Nature, Water
Date Uploaded: Dec 20, 2006

Converted from RAW. Crop; Curves; Dulled down the beak area a little bit; smart sharpen.

I used the big lens on this one. Funny, when the ducks see the big lens, they all back off - way off - it must look like a giant predatory eye to them.

nice one Alice. The texture on the duck looks really soft, and I like the detail in the water.

I gave this an 8. And I see a lot of people also appreciated this image. I'm surprised it didn't get a higher average score. The colors and detail are beautiful. The texture of the feathers makes me want to touch it.
