3 of my favorite students (my students say that I tell every one of them that they are my favorite student, which is true...lol). This shot just makes me smile :-) Each of these guys are great characters. I missed breakfast duty one morning and they made me feel really good when they walked by me later in the day and said, "we missed you at breakfast this morning!" ... it's a good feeling to know that students notice when you (me) aren't around to say goodmorning...they DO notice when you care!!!
Mr. pose on the right was really into my getting their picture! He tilted back and got 'attitude' really fast :-)
Basic editing challenge so I can't clone out that darn WHITE powerline in treeline/background that is SO distracting or the shadown on C's chin...grrrrrrrrr

Ha! I love this shot and your story. So much character and attitude. This should have scored higher. I'm a sucker for an interesting people shot and you captured just that. Nice work!
I wish this photo was taking from a different place or angle, as the powerline in the background is very distracting. However, once you took the photo there was nothing you could have done about it, being that this was a basic editing challenge, so good job!
I really like this casual portrait! The expressions are beautiful. The red of the one sweatshirt, for me, detracts from the concept of "brown" for this challenge. Perhaps if it were turned cliche with sepia toning....but then you might have lost the skin tones to it. Ah well, it's a lovely image wherever it places. :)
The facial tones are really good. Unfortunately, the writing on the jackets is distracting, as is the bright red. I might've cropped it so that their faces were more prominent. Nice focus.
