this could be a really nice shot, but i'm afriad the jpeg artifacts on the face, or perhaps over-sharpening thingies, really pull this down. a tighter crop would definitely improve this as well.
Freddy sure is cute! I wish the picture wasn't so grainy though....especially his face. It looks to me like it was oversharpened to compensate for being a bit out of focus.
Love that look! Freddie's almost saying.....Hey, where you goin'? Get the camera off of me... I ain't in the mood!" *smile* Did you try to sharpen certain areas, like above his eye on the right side and around the left eye??? I have trouble too with sharpening too much. It sometimes makes it look out of focus/blurred. Freddie looks like a riot....mind of his own and very personable.
There appears to be a significant amount of noise in this image - post processing may help reduce it some. It is especially noticeable above teh eyes and on the nose.
