Another painting with light entry. I've been messing around with this type of thing since my LIFE entry...kinda wierd that I have the "Life" theme in this one too. Anyway, I used one flashlight. I experimented a lot with using tape on the flashlight to get different types of strokes. This is the best one I came up with.

Good graphic with the light trails, and the light under the dirt. The light just seems to zap the life into the soil. The fogginess behind the plant is a plus too. The only flaw I see here is the bright spot under the leaf disturbs the contrast balance in the dirt at that point, where I feel it should be dark to enhance the border between the dirt and the stem. Still a "grabber" of an image concept. Big 8, almost made 9. To me, this pic would be a strong contender, even without a title.

How DPC does dirt. Could be a contender if the voters stick with their typical tastes. I'm reserving my highest scores for the grimy stuff, but a nice shot. 7
