Great perspective and lines in the fencing trailing away from the main subject of the shot. The area you shoot in does amazing things to enhance the overall feel of your shots and the foggy weather has further assisted you in your attempt to portray your meaning in this shot.
This is a great photo. Sorry to see it didn't place higher, though I suppose the connection to the challenge wasn't the strongest. Still, I thought it was one of the better entries. Really nice work.
Good motif and colours: life bare of urban luxuries, but full of hard rural labour. The expression on her face is well caught. However, her face is under-exposed with too much darkness above her eyes (and below the blue sholder line of her sweater). A good setting and POV - foggy morning somewhere in the countryside, a wooden fence along a dirt road leading to some hut - the whole composition tells the story well.
the white border works for me...not sure many others like this, but I do...I think the foggy bg is good, but the image lacks sharpness...not sure what you mean by your title
Very documentary/ photojournalistic feel to it. The foggy weather is giving you really even light for portraiture and a great falloff in the detail. The framing is strong too, with the fence and road.
