I would have like a crop where the shore is exactly in the middle of the frame

You are probably trying to have the reflection of the buildings in the frame but I think if you crop it to a panorama format you have a stronger picture.

The bottom half of this image contributes nothing. You could easily crop half the image away with no loss of impact. Either use the space with foreground, or lose it.
