Taken indoors with flash bouncing off the walls and ceiling. f/16 and 1/60 sec set manually, which enables a half-way decent depth of field and the capture of models that really don't have sitting still high among their priorities. Come to think of it, it might have been a good idea to switch on the VR function, but there go the best laid plans of cups and lips...
Anyway, the whole thing was seriously under-exposed and adjustments brought out the grain so that Neat Image had to be called in.
Increased a few exposure stops in RAW
Converted to 8 bits and adjusted levels (half way?)
Resized to 1024

Raish,
I gave this photo a 7, as I really like the interaction between the cats and the expression on the one cat's face. I suspect some people were a little harsh because the photo is fairly dark, and often cats don't do well in general. I agree with some of the other photos that a bit more light would have made a big difference.
I like the cat, but can't make out anything else. Maybe a case? Oh is there another cat? This may be one of the Monitor things where it looks someone what different on each. I would like to see an out take of this where I could see it more. Any way cute cat.
4 - Funny shot. Diagonal aspect not as strong as I'd like to have seen for this Challenge, the lighting is a bit harsh giving it somewhat of a snapshot feel, but fairly minor. Perhaps a more refined crop on the left, would have made this even better. Good capture and very good title.
