If you're going to use flowers, at least use real ones. :D Nice concept and thought behind this. The lighting is fine and the photo is well balanced. Just that darn plastic... Good luck in the challenge.
The orchid merges with the background and so loses its form. I don't like the way it merges with the frame on the right and wonder why you chose to compose it so.
