I never took part in the recent postcard challenge, but I am taking part in the "exchange 10 postcards" from the forums, see //www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=501810.
This is the postcard I will be sending to those users I am exchanging postcards with. For me it was also good training in PS! Though I had to "cheat" and use MS Photoeditor (!) for some simple tasks I could not find in PS ...
Dates are 16th (Jeddah), 21st (Shanghai) and 22nd (Anchorage) of November, The lens for Shanghai is my EF-S 10-22, the others my EF 50 mm.
Anchorage is not reeeeally anchorage, but close. In the background, Mount McKinley (sp?) can be seen. Arriving close to sunset, leaving before sunrise, with no wheels of my own, did not give me many photo opportunities this time. Temperature in the shots vary from about mid 80's in Jeddah over mid 60's in Shanghai to subzero in Anchorage (in the city, where the actual shot is taken it is about -75 F!)
