This is Pride, my sister's horse. I love this horse so much. He is so incredibly sweet and affectionate. I was trying to get under him to make sure nothing but a very bland sky got in the background, but he kept leaning down trying to give me kisses :) Not that I mind horse kisses, but it made it challenging trying to get him to do a serious pose :)
I really wanted this to look very soft and to almost fade into the white background -- in kind of an ethereal sort of way.

You know I like horses and horse shots, and this is a really neat one. One of the first things that comes to mind is the Rhiannon legend, you know, the white witch. This image is a success, keep on doin' it.
Looks like we had the same idea. Yours was one of my favorites. I really like the nonchalant look on his face. Its almost like he is thinking "I know I am handsome!"
Congrats, Sandy!!! This was one of my favorites, but I'm not sure why my comments from the vote didn't post. (knowing me, the computer timed out) It should've posted higher (imo)
Great finish Sandy! This also helped bump your average vote received of all your challenge entries closer to that 6.0 mark!! Just a couple more to go like this shot, and you'll be there.
Another excellent finish, Sandy! If you didn't have such ridiculously high scores already, this would be on your top row. :-) Really a very gorgeous picture - the way you handled the background really does give this an ethereal glow.
I also loved this one so much, and think it was by far, the best horse image in the challenge. Well done Sandy, and I know, and you know, that you also loved this one as well, and thats is also important.
This is a really nice capture - it looks as if the horse is looking right at me. Just the right amount of detail and softness. It appears as if there is a slight blue cast to the horse, but I won't deduct for it since I'm using my work monitor.
Very nice job of keeping the details of your subject and working in a white background. It's too bad you couldn't keep the horses attention while taking this shot (ears are pointed back) - I know personally how challenging that can be. :D Overall, nicely done. Good luck in the challenge.
I think using words like "beauty", "lovely", "charming", etc. in the title are obvious attempts to influence the vote. This is a very lovely image, but I am taking one point of for the title.
VERY NICE!
The over exposed background really adds to the "Light on White" effect.
The first shot I've given higher than 8 to so far in this challenge and I'm even tempted to give a 10.
3 / 3 Creativity - Ordinary/Common = 0.
3 / 3 Subject - Subject follow the challenge theme?
2 / 2 Technical - Focus, lighting, etc.
1 / 2 WOW - The hard to get points.
9 /10 Score - I rarely give out 9's & 10's.
gotta love horses ..... and your photograph's got a lovely, delicate and gentle feel to it ... i especially love the expressive eye .... its saying something, altho i'm not entirely sure wot! ... =8
