It was nice that our "light-up night" celebration coincided with this challenge! Shot from Mount Washington. Tweaked the colors, cloned out a small branch from the right, Noise Ninja.

Oh wow! This is an amazing shot! I love the lines of the color spurting out. And the city background makes it such a more dynamic photo. Thanks for the tips left over at the "Shooting Fireworks" thread, this weekend im traveling out with my grandparents to watch fireworks from the mountains...Im going to try out a few of your tricks and tips!
Ahhhh... light up night in Pittsburgh! You made me miss home with this beautiful shot!! Congrats on capturing an awesome moment in the burgh! Good Job! GO STEELERS!!
Beautiful photograph, I think this one would roll out the doors of the souvenir shacks by the millions. A little on the lite side though for the tacky postcard processing that we're typically used to seeing. Great job, 9!
Hey, unfair, my city didn't have any fireworks this week! Very nicely caught and well composed. I just wish the darks were darker, to really give the city lights and fireworks full contrast. In particular, even the darkest parts of the sky still look grayish-brown on my display, rather than jet-black.
