I think the piece you wanted the viewers to key in on is the lily pad that is upended in the water - yes? If that's the case, why did you not set the focus there. Instead, the focal point is on the pads in front of it.
If this had a deeper range (higher aperture) to it, it would score much higher. The plan is good, the subject is fairly strong, the composition is simple enough and laid out correctly, and the color is fantastic.
