I just made out this recipe for the challenge, now, after shooting I can tell it is tastefull.
Grilled or baked onion, peppers, eggplant, garlic or any vegetable you like mix with cooked pasta (penne or riggattoni preferable) and fresh tomatoes. Garnish with mozarella and parmesan chease, basil (or any other herb you like), baked pancetta, olive oil, salt and pepper. Can be served cold or warm.
enjoy
btw, shot with Canon 50/1.8

I love the clarity of this shot, although to me it is somewhat "busy". Perhaps the plate of food by itself would have been enough. Nevertheless it is very well done.
This looks so good! Take away the tomatoes and I'm eating at your house! :) This is a good shot overall. The finished product with the raw ingredients around it. The clarity, the colors are wonderful and at first I started this at an 8 but am going to a 9 but I'll be back :)
Nice pic! I think I would have liked to have seen some silverware rather than the raw ingredients though. I understand where you were going with it, but you obviously spent a lot of time preparing the beautiful dish to the right... I'm finding that I'm paying more attention to the onion and red bell pepper wayyyyy over at the other side of the pic though, which (in my mind at least!) isn't really intended to be the main subject. Another possibility might have been to bring the main dish into the frame more with the ingredients behind but blurred a bit with a shallow DOF set on the dish to really make it stand out.
Love the layout of all the different foods all over the table, the uncooked noodles in the background, etc., very good. The shot maybe needs a little more light on the dish itself.
Looks delicious. Great colors in the shot. I like how you arranged all the ingredients around the plate that you used in the salad. The composition is rather interesting because of the colors. Lighting seems to be stronger on the ingredients then the finished food. This would make for a good cover for a cookbook. Great job.
Nice use of colour, good dof, and I like the subject. The cheese, is it ricotta? It is a bit oe. It's a tough one to get right, prolly shoulda left it out of the pic. I'm not crazy about the composition. Maybe because it is cut down too close to the middle. The place may is a distraction. The wooden bg would work better. I think you may have used it to define two parts: ingredients and finished dish. I think more cohesion would be effective.
I very much like this shot! The focus and color is fantastic. Lighting is good. I also like the added dynamic of the 'before & after' feel. Well balanced and not too busy. 8
Just shooting the main dish itself with possibley an object or two behind or at the side would have been fine bit to me there is too much clutter on the left to warrant a top mark, good looking tasty dish and scores well for that in my view ! ;0)
