Some mentioned high key and here I disagree. This is one of the darkest photos I've ever seen. Great work, unfortunately not of the common DPC taste. (I was alone with my vote as I can see. :))
Nice graphical presentation. I believe the concept and capture are good and I would have explored swing the colors down to warm brown as this may have given this image a better chance to sing out. 6
This one is tough. Good points for trying a high key shot, but there is too much red background to force it into that category. You do not look relaxed! The heavy shadows in the eye sockets are really distracting.
I am reminded of blood here. Just the coloration. If you were aiming for this good job, but it is disturbing and leads me to a lower score: 3
