Found this young lady smoking wacky just outside the Natural History Museum on the banks of the Ottawa River, directly opposite Parliament Hill on a class trip. Thought it quite the contrast so I broke away from the group and talked to her. I told her what I was all about and I snapped a few pictures.
I went to university in Ottawa, at Carleton (for Earth Science aka Geology). Also took an advanced course at the U. of O. and did some work for a prof there. He almost convinced me to do a masters, but I was tired of the student lifestyle and had to move on. Good times.
If you skate, you definitely have to check out the Rideau Canal in late January to the end of February. I used to skate that all the time. Great Zen experience, especially at 3:00am! Photo opps galore. I went on my first date with my wife skating on the canal. She pretended she was a bad skater so she could hold my hand. :-)
Oh ya, cool shot. ;-)
Then she said: "OMG SLIPPY IS HOT EKEKEKEKEKEKEKKEEK" (Quote)

Well done. I've started to capture some textures here and there to overlay but haven't hit any stride worth keeping. Two attempts isn't much but I'll catch the fever sooner than later. Cheers!
