Credit to my wife, Kate, for helping out with the arrangement. The book is a classic and is over 100 years old. The watch was my great great grandfather's. I inherited the tin box from my grandfather. The coins are 1921, 1922, & 1976 silver dollars. The rear photo is my great grandfather and the other is of Kate's parents.
Shot in the living room using one flash fitted with a micro softbox and another bounced off the ceiling.

A Nice collage of old objects. I'm being frank in my comments - not to offend. For me: I would change the angle and the cropping, sometimes not all of the subject/objects have to be completely visible...that could lend the viewer to look again. I do like that the objects are not just flat. Good work 6 Ruthann
very nice still life... i like your composition on this one... the contrast offered by the different color of the book adds a 'unique' bit of color to this image... :) - jmsetzler
Is this one of Betty's? I dont know but my first impression is that it has Betty's style. Well whoever you are - this is great. I love the arrangement. Everything in this shot is suitable and interesting to look at. I'm dying to see more detail on that box at the front. Focus, contrast and colour are all excellent. Well done.
Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject. Composition - very good Technical Aspects - very good Meets Challenge - yes+ Visual Impact / Originality - high
It's technically a very well done shot. But I think it lacks a central theme. This has the effect of making the picture a bit too busy. My motto, less is best, would work well here - but, this is only my opinion... Good luck... (5)
