I love the tension between peace and menace. It's beautiful, and that's not a word I get to use that often. At least, you should hope I don't use it that often.
if people want to know why I think the voting process is flawed I would simply ask them to stare at this for awhile, and then once captivated ask them to look at 311 other shots above it and see if they can explain it to me...

It's so darn simple...that's why this image is so so effective..."echo...perfect word for this picture. You have seen and image where most would not have...this is just a pleasure to look at and captured my attention in a rather massive pool of images, and that's not easy to do.
An interesting shot that certainly evokes some emotion. I think I wish I could see it in color, as just that hint of green would add a little something IMO. Nice job with the fog/mist.
I absolutely LOVE photos like this! There's somethign about fog that makes a scene so dramatic! I love it! Would have been a cool "After the Game" shot too! Good luck!
