You are a brave person indeed...I like it...I like it a lot.

Could you at least pretend to follow the rules and crop the image correctly? :-)
Lovely and original find, landscape could be slightly more saturated (not easy in autumn), in short, I like it.

I'm confused, but in a good way. I like this, I like it alot. It certainly lives up to its title. Not sure if it will be accepted as a Portrait by all members, but who cares! Its a wonderful image that keeps you looking; looking out into the landscape beyond. Hope it does well.

great shot well done, would have liked a slightly larger view but still a 7

It's clever, and I think it works; but your depth of field doesn't seem to quite extend to infinity, and that hurts your shot.

interesting concept. I think you could exploit this idea even further by not having the subject so centered in the image.

You've just got to enter both of them, Don't you? More power to ya! I would have done the same thing, if I had thought of it first! :)

I love this one so much, I want to hug it, and stroke it, and name it George. (10)

Well performed, I like how you make the colors stand out and how the forground is darker than the rest...

You'll drive the DNMC folks crazy with this one. Does it meet? Yes it does, no it doesn't, maybe it does, I give up. LOL - Nice shot is what I say!

WOW - now that's a twist. I like it but I wonder if the "literal" police will kill you on this. So nice to see originality. Great image. I like the symmetry. 8

This would very cool with a square crop similar to the windows!

creative interpretation of challenge. I'll give extra bonus points for that!

err, "landscape in portrait orientation" means, that the width of the photo is smaller than its height; this is "landscape in landscape orientation". Still, it is a nice idea well executed.

Got to love this one. Great DOF. Awesome find.

Great picture but not portrait.

I really like this shot very much. It's a shame the orientation's not correct for the challenge.
11/01/2006 05:29:51 PMPost actions
I love this image, but am taking a couple of points off because the orientation of the whole shot is landscape (DNMC).

I like the photo, but I can't see how this fits the challenge description.

interesting interpretation of the challenge. Well seen.

This is a brilliant shot and very well exposed. You should have saved it for the free study though as nothing here really looks portrait. Oh, the windows could be slightly portrait, but they feel more square than anything.

Very clever take on the challenge. I hope you do not suffer too many DNMC-type thinkers.

Interesting idea. You might get some DNMCs, but I actually really like it.

So where's the landscape orientation?
I like the image its very very strong, but it just doesn't fit the challenge this time round. Rotate the camera o crop to a portrait and I'd give you the benefit of the doubt.

3D photography, well done and presented.

Like the way you have done landscape in portrait twice, cropping this would have lost the impact - excellent shot

Sneaky, sneaky! Really interesting shot. I'll buy it but I dunno how others are gunna feel!
Your title lost me but I got what you meant.

Excellent idea and execution. Now, why didn't you just have it as a portrait, as per challenge requirements? I hate it but I'll have to deduct...
