This is a really engaging image. It captures a wonderful sense of personality. The mix of contrasting colors and textures, as well as the square crop, are all perfect for the shot.
Wow, they are so cute!!! The only thing that isn't working for me with this image is the blue band at the top. It's bright and distracting, especially as it is going through the head of the little girl on the right. Excellent clarity and color otherwise. :)
The blue at the top throws the otherwise excellent photo out of wack. Is that natural light? I think it is a fun portrait though, and I give it an above average score.
Good triangular composition. Funny, there's so much talk of rule-of-thirds but hardly anyone mentions triangles. Great kids with wonderfully contrasting expressions. The two become so much more than the sum of their parts. I love how the "somber" one is so clearly repressing a laugh, or at least a smile. I'll start this at 8.
