Thanks everybody. What a cool ride. I really, really love this image and want to thank my daughter Jack for braving the cold and yes, wind and allowing me to get something we'll both be happy with for a long time.

I'm always looking this shot since i add to my favorite.
the way she is standing, her hands, clouds, wave, tone, skin tone, and wind...everything is so perfect for me.
I can imagine some story from this shot. Great Job!
amazing flow to this shot...love that you have kept this dark without losing key details...
your model also looks comfortable and expressive...congrats!
What a beautiful foto this is. It reminds me is some way at Kate Bush in the eighties and Madonna track with the crows.
I can imagine you are proud on the result.
Have you ever watched Madonna's "Frozen" and/or "Power of Goodbye" videos? I was wondering if you were inspired by either. Very similar, but still very original in your own way. I love this shot!!
What a striking image. I think I detect some lightening on her face already. Someone thought it required some. Ones eye goes straight to her face. The light, movement and structure all all beautiful. Do some fashion, if you don't already.
Gave you a 10...thoroughly deserved ribbon...YOU ARE ON FIRE! Now isn't there something you are busy with at the moment? You need to go to it so some of us can share the spoils... :-) Many More Rudy
Very "Heiða-esque", take that as a compliment. Like this shot better than mine even though it is just a tad too processed for my personal taste, I am glad it ribboned over my shot, congrats!
It is indeed a lovely photograph with all the really good photographic qualities (and it's not too dark and I don't think she needs any more light on her face.) The best part about this, though, is that your daughter is a very beautiful young woman and she loves her dad enough to hang out in the cold with him. And she looks like she's inherited his joie de vie, too.
What a STUNNING photo! Not only is this be treasured for personal reasons long after the challenge is over -- but it is just the most amazing photography ever! Keep turning photos like this and we'll just have to all resign ourselves that only 2 ribbons will be given out -- yours will automtically be the third :)
Congratulations! Such an awesome image and it's made even better with it being a cool shot of your daughter. Nice! But really, two on the home page? Now your just showing off. : )
best of the "woman in the black outfit" shots (who would have thought there'd be more than one :0) ) as you've added other interesting elements (sky, non-distracting background) and just enough light to keep the mood and show off your model -- one of my favorites this challenge
A very nice image, but could have used quite a bit more processing to add drama to the image. The foreground and woman need to be lightened up, mostly the woman. The sky an waves could also have been enhanced.
Incredible. This could easily have been pushed into over-editing but I think you did just the right amount. The contrast of black on blue is superb...her skin is well done, too. 9
The dark sky is pretty much what sells me on this shot. The grey ocean helps, but I think it's the sky. Not taking anything away from your lovely model of course. Beautiful photo.
Great job in pulling the model/foreground away from the waves and clouds. Moody colors in background work great with the model's pose. One of the best in the challenge so far!
I've been told in the past that some of my photos are 'dark' and that DPC'ers like bright, vibrant colors. I'm not like most DPC'ers...I totally love your photo. 10
This is such a nice, moody shot. I like the blurring of her shawl-thing as it moves in the wind, the expression on her face, the muted colours of the sky and the sea. Excellent!
Thought I saw another image similar - must be something about wind, waves, and black flowing garments. :D You picked a nice broody day to take this shot. The background clouds add a nice element. For me the waves are the main indicator of 'Wind'. The fringe of her black outfit appears to be in motion from her movement. Wait! I just noticed (seriously) that that is not her arm off to the side. At first glance I really thought the light colored underside of the garment was her arm reaching out. An interesting optical illusion. Unfortunately, one that may fool others as well that don't take a long enough look. Regardless, you should still do quite well with the other key items that make up this composition. Best of luck to you in the challenge.
Very lovely depiction of a sea breeze and inclusion of an awesome backdrop. I do kinda wonder what she's doing with her hands, but that's somewhat irrelevant. Great exposure.
Very moody photograph, but it works extremely well. I love everything about it. Very high score from me. A dash of red somewhere either by accentuating the hair or clothing would have sealed it for me. Great shot.
Splendid capture. Everything here comes together quite nicely. I only wonder if the image had a stronger effect if the young lady wasn't looking down but out to the right of the frame or turned left looking out. Still, I like this very much.
lovely colors and good job lighting the models face - I feel a sense of wind in this shot... not a strong wind as her hair is not being whipped about but a more gentle wind that suits the composition of this photo. 9
I am not to sure about this one, as it looks like it is a set up, to make me think there is wind. The photo is triffic, and I also really like the mood of the image. I may bump this one up later.....
