tiffen #77 ir filter
post challenge;
reason i shot this with the ir filter
besides the funky looking colors is tha it acts like a 12 stop ND filter so you get these extra long shutter times ..

These infrared shots just do not do it for me. That's my problem, I know, but I really don't see how infrared adds anything to this. Why did you make it infrared? Just because you could? I'm not trying berate or belittle you, I'm just at a point in my "photography" where I find myself, asking "Why?" more often, and I really am curious why you chose to use this treatment.
You know, the more I look at this, the more it's growing on me. I like the clarity of the strong, vertical pole contrasting with the blurry, moving trees, and the infrared seems to really emphasize that difference. I guess I should just think of infrared as a different kind of Blk & Wht. Thanks!
Interesting how the tree on the right is hit harder (I guess the wind is coming from the right?) This would also be good for the new long exposure challenge.
You've certainly captured wind at work. That part is cool. Not really a big fan of the fake looking IR stuff. Putting that aside, the sky is quite grainy. The curved road line adds a nice element to this shot and the light pole front left also helps to direct the viewer. Good luck in the challenge.
The infared gives this an eerie horror-film kinda feel to it. I like the stark solid pole contrasting the movement of the trees. A bit noisy which some might find objectionable but I don't mind it.
This picture is kind of creepy and haunting. You've taken a simple scene and made it into something much better than regular color or B&W would have done.
