This chipmunk froze in place when it saw me, hoping it would be invisible if it didn't move. I did see it, and because it was so still, I was able to take my time snapping pics. Even though I was using my 300mm, I still got very close.

I got a lot of comments about the white background on this one, and I appreciate the input. This was the natural background. There was bright sun shining behind the chippy. I simply didn't want to alter the photo that drastically by changing the background.
I would have preferred if the whole animal was in the picture- more of his (or her) stripes. Stark white background seems unnatural given the subject. But, the detail captured in the gathered treasure is awesome!
