I've had this image of a blur of fall color, with just one edge of a leaf in focus, stuck in my head, and have been shooting leaves for weeks trying to capture it. This is as close as I've come. I hate having a specific idea in my mind, because I can never seem to achieve it. Seriously, in the last few weeks I've taken close to 500 leaf shots while walking my kids to the bus each day. They're building several houses on our street, and there are always construction type guys milling around. The other day one of them came up to me while I had my face stuck up in a tree, and asked if there was a bird's nest up there or something... Nope, just taking pictures of leaves...
Stunning shot....Love it so very much.....
Yes, I think you achieved it beautifully.....Amazing DOF as well.....
Top shot in my book, and I also have to add it as a favorite.....
took a few moments to stare at this one wondering how it would look if the background leaves weren't so close in color to the forground leaf... i keep telling myself i'd like to seem more contrast... maybe w/ the background leaves a bit darker...
but the more i look at it, the less convinced i am...
This is amazing. I love the softness. The edge of the leaf in focus is such a great effect, and the colors are gorgeous. All your time and effort was worth it. I'm giving it a fave. :)
