Nice background and composition. Sometimes I am unsure how best to use DOF in an image and that is true of this one. I would like to see this one again with the closest crystal in focus to see how they compare.
Good job. I know this was probably tough. Since the shard at left is larger it seems to me to dominate the space, but it's not in focus. I think a shift in focus to that shard, rather than the smaller one would've made composition stronger. Good exposure and subject.
Meets the challenge and nice sharp focus on the rightmost crystal with the colours. The rest is kinda out of focus though. If that's deliberate I think it should be a bit MORE out of focus so that the viewer knows for sure that it's deliberate. Nice black background and lighting in general. 7
