These were leaves disperssed after falling off the trees. It was taken in the diffuse lighting of a cloudy day allowing the colors to remian more pronounced and saturated than if it were a clear sky with bright sunshine, or taken in the shadows on previous type of day that would bring in more of a bluish tint.
