Nicely done... I wouldn't say 'ugly' but 'rough' for sure. But I think it is good enough to meet the challenge. :) Nice shot though... I like this. Great all around.
Wow, now thats a powerful image, I would love to beleive this is a staged photo, but I have a horrible feeling that the child is living in these conditions. Great compositions and a real tear jerking expression.

i really don't think your title fits this photo at all. there is nothing ugly about this child. dirty perhaps, but most children get that way at times...
Definitely an oxymoron, but this kid is not ugly. Really cute. The dirty face is just so endearing, and those eyes are awesome. Gonna be a heartbreaker.
good oxymoron, as good an application as I've seen for "pretty ugly" in the challenge. A great shot. Those eyes are well done and probably the reason you kept it in color. B&W would have been powerful too. 7
It's certainly an oxymoron - but it sure doesn't fit this beautiful child (maybe "clean children" would have been a better title ;-) An extra point from me for the excellent image.
very emotive - great image for the challenge. The child is beautiful while in an ugly stage of affairs.....awesome job. HOpe to see this with the ribbon winners.
