One of about 40 shots I took that night, and wow was it tough to decide which one to submit as they wre all SO different.
I like this one because I shot it from far down a slope looking up at the spruce trees and the image almost makes you feel as if you are leaning backwards.

Would you be willing to sell an enlarged copy of this photograph as I have been looking for a photograpf of the Aurora Borealis and this one is magnificent.
Pure magic! I have been blessed to have experienced this instance on several occassions and only wish I had captured it as you have. It is not only an image, it is a soul releasing experience. Thanks for noticing it!
Oh I want to move to Alaska so bad! We just have to wait for a job opportunity and off we go!! Great image! This is just beautiful. Congrats on your very well deserved ribbon. :-)
Fantastic! So so happy. Was tracking this almost every waking moment last week. I didn't know which image to submit, but obviously picked a good one. Information about the other shots are here:
This is beautiful. It reminds me of a commercial that used to be on CBC, can't remember what they were advertising, perhaps CBC North. Love the greens and blues.
One of the greatest (if not THE greatest) aurora shots i have ever seen in my entire life, and I have seen countless. The gentle wisps of the aurora are beautifully captured, and the stars in the background is the icing on the cake. Excellent clarity.
Aurora shots are very difficult, and you pulled it off perfectly.
You know how you go along voting... click, click, click and kind of get lost in what you're doing? Well, I just got snapped out of the voting doldrums when this one popped up. WOW! Absolutely stunning! Where is that favorites button again?
Wow, and you've captured all those stars too... (or is my monitor dusty?)
Breathtaking!!!
My only observation is with the border: I'd suggest a thinner one. Nevertheles, 10.
This is magnificent. I'm jealous of all you folks who live in a part of the world where this can be seen. I'm too far south :( I just find these scenes to be magical. This one has a particularly interesting foreground to anchor that magic into reality. Very nice work...
I used to see these lights when I lived in Labrador...very nice and thanks for the capture. I'm not voting this time around but I would have given you a 10. You're lucky to live somewhere to take advantage of the Northern Lights...
