Thanks -- I've come close quite a few times but never quite "made it" before. Peeling a banana was my very first throught, but this one was the only one I had. Then I kind of thought that it would be a more unusual take on the challenge to reveal something perhaps better left hidden.
I wonder if 4+ is one of the higher last-places though ...

Now that looks like an old banana :-) Personally I would have used a different background, something without a pattern on it. Also the crop is far too tight, I would have at least included all of the banana on the left hand side.

I like the idea you have here and going to black and white did not hurt this shot but the cropping is just off to me. If you had been able to keep the top of the banana in the shot and not cut off that would raise my score and a bit more sharpness on the overall shot. Starting with a 7 on this one.
