Poignant is what comes to mind when I look at this photograph. At least someone at the Philadelphia zoo cared enough about the elephants to find them new homes.
Though they have always seemed happy to me. I wish them well, but will really miss them.

I gave this a 7, and I probably would have commented on it except for the high number of really great shots in this challenge. I love the elephant's red eye and all the muted yellows. Now, this is Very Subjective, but what kept this from going higher was the fact that he seems to be talking to another vet, which means his attention is not really on the elephant, it's going right past the elephant.

This to me is a very strong shot - the men seem incidental to the elephant, and the elephant seems both grand and fragile at the same time - almost looks sad.
