 this topic has me compleatly stumped.

this was the best I could come up with without photoshoping the hell out of something.

Nice cloud opening. You get a good scale of shades without having the lights blown out which is very good.

But I can see lots of grain/noise in the darker parts - which means either you have oversharpened it or used faster ISO. I would have also cropped out the blue bit in the upper right corner.

This photo looks more like an accidental picture was taken while the camera was facing up. It might have worked if there were rays of light.

A nice shot but usually the light you fly towards is a shaft, I know, being picky. On the picture itself, interesting composition but it looks like you were in for one heck of a storm!
