High contrast isn't something the voters like but couple that with a great use of negative space which voters do like and bam, ribbon. Congrats.

Great use of negative space! I really like the disparate selection of people included in the image and the way that their minute size in the overall frame communicates something about their relevance, their importance to the wider world or universe. Great pic!
