A last minute entry.
Voters questioned the lack luster of this image with good reason. We have two 6 months old cats in the basement and they knocked down my white background cloth, filled it with hair and then shredded a good portion. My next choice was the gray background because I was out of poster board and to use a sheet meant ironing the monster. I did not see how this image would have reached paydirt even with a white background and the fact that there is a hangover group who do not consider Gatorade a soft drink. The definition has changed: simply google softdrinks.
The image is the same principle as the milk shot, "Looking to get back in"

Since gatorade has no alcohol I consider a soft drink.
That said, in a moment of humor I put the nice german boch back in the fridge and grabbed a Woodchuck Cider (as woodchuck rhymed with rubber duck) and into the composition it went.
I know at least one "1" and likely the others were for failing to meet the challenge by having an alcoholic drink.
I like the idea ,but the colours are flat for me,may be a white background, and a boost in colour could have got you a 10 sorry it 8 but still its a great shot. (how did you do it ?)
The photograph is excellent. I think you got it in the wrong challenge though. This is for beer and soda. Gatorade doesn't fall into either category. Most of I wasn't voting on any of them that were other than beer and soda but this one was such a great photo that I did vote on it but, I voted low. Keep that in mind when you're looking at your votes. I may be the only one with that thought process but I may not be.
Wonderful execution of the image capture with the splash, lighting, etc... It's the attention to details that gets you here with scoring. The background seam is distracting (and avoidable). Wait, unless this is in a tub or something? Hmmm. Well, whatever the background is, it BEGS to be white instead of grey.
