 My girlfriend Samantha at the local park.

Levels.
Adjust saturation (in iPhoto).
Crop.
Burned top of tree.
Dodged under her eyes.
Changed her eye color to blue ( I liked the way it looked with the leaves) by painting on a layer with blending mode set to Color.
Adjusted the levels of just the tree and leaves.
Resized.
Added border.
Saved for web.

Great use of the 1/3's. Even tho the leaves are beautiful in their color and the DOF is good, they keep taking my left eye away from the very nice capture of your study.

the blurred leaves on the left are too much.. crop them out and you might have something 5
