This is very cool photo, very cool with the graffiti and the way person is posed. I wonder if a slightly tighter crop eliminating the black area would be better on this. Most of the focus of this photo is person and the immediate environment, and the darkness seems more of a black-hole sucking the attention away.
Interesting capture. The black negative space on the bottom and left might rightly disappear, and bold gang speak take away from the subject for me. Maybe a closer crop with just the graffiti to the right
I dont see any one part of this grabbing attention. Its just kind of... all there... maybe try some lighting to highlight the subject to grab attention.
A journalistic feel to this shot and I like it. Maybe a bit more cropped out on the left but it's nicely done with good clear focus. Good luck in the challenge.
