I like the placement of the frog in the frame and your use of DOF really helps draw the viewer to the main subject. I might be inclined to crop a little closer on the right handside to get rid of the edge of the step (?) at the top right. What processing, if any, have you done on this shot?
I definately vote for this as better. The leading lines in this outtake do much more leading. This is just overall much more interesting with better technicals.
