I would like to see this gleaming curve on a stark white background, the grey/green tones in the image are not complimentary to the subject.

To me the background color washes this out and you lose the varied tones of the ribbon.

Good idea but the frayed edges are very distracting. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on the purple colour.
